Sorry for the lack of updates the past two weeks. The Internet connection speed here in Park City is horribly slow. It is so slow here that I have not been able to check for the latest biathlon news or my own e-mail. Bear with me, I return to Vermont and my cable connection next Tuesday.

Today I went for a long run in the foothills above Park City. At about the second hour, I crested a hill to see a valley filled to the brim with hundreds of sheep. When I lived in Norway, I was quite accustomed to running across sheep like this in the mountains. What I was not expecting, however, was to be chased by three sheep dogs looking to protect the herd.

My first instinct was to run, seeing as the three of them were rather large, but then when I realized they were not going to stop, I started barking at them, and interestingly enough, they started wagging their tails and thankfully turned around. Unfortunately, I only took a video of the sheep mulling around, not of the dogs chasing me.

Only three more days of training are left at this camp. This week will total about 26 hours of training. Next week will be much of the same amount of training, before I plunge into three weeks of hard, intense workouts.
