So, I make this really rad new website and just don’t update the thing, do I, even after promising to be more vigilant. What’s up with that? Well, now I’m blaming it on my ancient computer. The laptop I’m running can barely handle two instances of Firefox, let alone imaging software or Microsoft Word. I bought my Toshiba in the spring of 2003, so it’s seen better days.
The good news is that I’m awaiting a new laptop. For those interested in computers, I’ll list the specs:
HP dv5t with Intel Core2 Duo Processor P8400 2.26 GHz with 3 MB L2 cache and 1066 MHz bus speed, 3GB DDR2, 256 MB NVIDIA GeForce 9200M GS video card, 15.4” WSXGA+ full high-definition BrightView widescreen display (1680 x 1050), 250GB 7200rpm SATA HDD with ProtectSmart, Webcam, Intel Next-Gen Wireless N mini-card with Bluetooth, Lightscribe Blu-Ray ROM with Supermulti DVD+/-R/RW Double Layer drive, High Capacity 6-cell lithium ion battery
Unfortunately, it runs Windows Vista.
My new laptop should provide that extra kick of motivation that I need to be more coherent (and diligent) about posting. Now that I’m moving away from sport and into a much different life, too, I can only imagine the stories I’ll have to share. Be forewarned, this site is no longer about biathlon, training, and such. It’s now just a blog of my random, nomadic, and perceptive life. You’ve been notified.
Oh, and I’m at my final races in biathlon in Grand Rapids, Minnesota. Go watch Fargo a thousand times, pay attention to the accent, and try to write coherently. That’s where I’m at right now. The shooting range has been heaven as of late. 80 percent in a blizzard on Sunday. 90 percent yesterday. It’s been effortless. When I stopped caring about my results and simply started enjoying the activity as of late, my mentality changed, and I now approach shooting with much less anxiety. The skiing has been marginable. I’ve never skied well in cold, slow conditions, and have never made in the flow with this course. The end is in sight and I’m excited to move on. No bitterness or regret, just fuzzy, cuddly memories and embracing a new life.

Life goes on... Looking forward to some msn chatter!
And by the way, now, why not go crazy and buy a mac? I'm not a fanboy, just some dude enjoying life without Vista.
