Anglican 1000 exists to advance the work of church planting. We do this in three ways:
We want to support and love existing ministries and planters. There are many men and women doing great work in the ministry of church planting and we want to spur them on in their endeavors in whatever way we can. By encouraging relationships, lending a little wisdom, networking workers in the vineyard, and reaching out to those on the front lines of church planting, we want to help make stronger what already is in place.
We also want to equip our church planters by getting the proper training and tools into their hands. Each year we offer our annual A1K Summit with speakers and coaches from various areas of church planting. We are also developing a training and assessment program that will take place at our Regional Events and we are building a strong online library of resources in order to leverage the collective wisdom of our Province. We will also be offering webinars, special training sessions, coaching, and other opportunities for equipping.
Where there is a need for a plant or ministry that does not currently exist we want to gather the people and resources together to break new ground and make it happen. We are a part of many new initaitves including Anglican Campus Fellowship (college ministry), Young Anglicans (youth ministry), Hispanic Church Planting (including Camenos De Juntos), and we are working closely with other like-minded denominations in our Ecumenical Partnerships.
These three aspects of our work are being played out in numerous ways. Click the menu tabs to right to learn more.
